Cory Schouviller will graduate from Kamiakin High where he played baseball all 4 years and also spent 1 year on the football team as well. He has been recognized as Pitcher of the Year three times and is known as a quiet leader who sets a great example for those around him. He is also recognized for his respect of the game and for his opponents. One coach noted that in the absolute toughest situations is when Cory really shines. His composure and fierce competitiveness are his hallmarks.
Cory was an ASB Delegate for 2 years and as a senior is a very active leader in Run Kano – a program at Kamiakin that was created for the purpose of bringing students together – with the Seniors as role models for the underclassmen. Cory is a strong supporter for his peer athletes.
In his freshman year, Cory became active in Young Life and started serving a leader the following year. He leads music (both singing and playing guitar) at weekly meetings, has attended numerous summer camps and participated in many events and fundraising activities with the group.
Cory is a motivated young man, as evidenced by his decision to participate in the Running Start Program through CBC. He is currently on track to not only graduate high school but also receive his Associate Arts degree from CBC next month.
